Dr. DeAnne Fanta grew up in central Florida and discovered her passion for veterinary medicine in high school while working at a small animal clinic. She earned a degree in Zoology and a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Florida, then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University.

She went on to complete a rotating internship at the Animal Emergency & Specialty Center in Knoxville, TN, and a surgical internship at BluePearl in Franklin, TN. Dr. Fanta has a special interest in emergency surgeries, trauma patients, and radiology.

When she’s not at the hospital, Dr. Fanta enjoys traveling, exploring Chattanooga’s local dining scene, and teaching in the veterinary technology program at Chattanooga State Community College.
