Dr. Unger is an emergency veterinarian at Animal Emergency and Specialty Center of Chattanooga. Born and raised in South Florida, she earned her veterinary degree from the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Massachusetts. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at BluePearl in North Carolina, formerly known as Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas. Dr. Unger has a particular interest in clinical pathology, neurology, and toxicology. She enjoys the variety, challenges, and fast-paced nature of emergency medicine.

Outside of the hospital, she enjoys cooking, cycling, long-distance running, and attending concerts. Dr. Unger shares her home with her three cats, Tango, Toby, and Neutrophil, and her partner, Storm.
