Mirae Wood, DVM, DACVS-SA Board-certified Veterinary Surgeon for Small Animals
Dr. Wood received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University in 2008, followed by a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Colorado State University from 2008-2009. Dr. Wood then completed a 3-year residency in small animal surgery at the University of Missouri. During her residency, Dr. Wood completed research focused on the alignment of the canine thoracic limb, specifically the humerus. Following her residency, she accepted a clinical faculty position at UM from 2012-2014. Dr. Wood became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2013. She then spent several years in large multi-specialty private practices in middle Tennessee and Birmingham, AL before joining before joining AESC as a locum in 2022.
