Andrew Cone, DVM Emergency Clinician
Dr. Cone grew up just south of Portland, Oregon on a small family farm. He has wanted to be a veterinarian as long as he can remember, and was told by his family he would play doctor with his stuffed animals at the age of 3. His love for animals continued to grow as he grew up on the farm with endless outside work and caring for the animals.
He attended a local community college and Portland State University for undergraduate work with an emphasis in biochemistry. Next, he attended Oregon State University for Veterinary Medicine School. After graduating Veterinary school he completed two more years of training at a rotating internship in Nashville, Tennessee and a surgical internship in Charlotte, North Carolina. After the internships, his interest in Emergency Medicine led him to Chattanooga.
Dr. Cone lives with his wife and two fluffy, feline daughters, Pooky and Sophie. He enjoys a wide variety of activities including hiking, traveling, and acrobatics.
